CGAC is a collaborative multi-stakeholder organization, which was established over a decade ago as a response to the emerging opioid epidemic in our region. Our belief is that not one size fits all when addressing this serious public health issue and that all voices must be heard in order to make real permanent change.

Pathways to Recovery Columbia County New York Addiction Help. Columbia County Pathways to Recovery is a RCO (Recovery Community Organization) – a grassroots group which grew out of the concern for a need for awareness, education, advocacy, and change in regard to the public health crisis of addiction. We are made up of individuals who are in recovery from addiction, families and friends impacted by addiction, families who lost a loved one to addiction, and our friends and allies in the larger Columbia County community, including professionals, concerned community members, educators, medical and mental health specialists, community leaders, clergy, law enforcement, emergency rescue personnel, and addiction and recovery specialists, who have all joined together to solve our common problem around this public health crisis.

Columbia County New York Alcoholics Anonymous Area 48. Since its founding in 1935, the program and fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous has helped millions of men and women recover from alcoholism. Area 48 is a service entity comprised of Alcoholics Anonymous groups throughout northeastern New York. We stretch from Beacon in the south to the Canadian border in the North, from the eastern border of New York State to Canastota, Madison County, in central New York, including Albany, Saratoga, Poughkeepsie, Utica, Rome, Amsterdam, and Kingston. There are 18 districts within our area.
