Warren County New York Government Substance Use Support. he Office of Community Services for Warren and Washington Counties is a shared administrative office between the two counties responsible for planning, oversight and coordination of a wide range of services for individuals and families impacted by mental illness, intellectual/developmental, and addiction issues. We work in partnership with the NYS Office of Mental Health, the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports, and the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities to ensure services are developed according to identified local needs. The state agencies also assist us in ensuring that quality local services are available, accessible and delivered in accordance with state agency regulations and guidance. The state agencies fund, regulate and license the programs.

This is a combined effort between The Council for Prevention and Glens Falls Hospital’s Center for Recovery. We provide weekly group meetings, individual treatment with a LMSW, and challenging outings which vary in length and activity: hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, snowshoeing, mini-golfing, etc.). Our program is strength based and promotes healthy relationships, group ownership, values clarification, and accountability for diagnosed substance abusing youth, ages 13-18.
