Greene County New York Government Opioid & Heroin Awareness Initiative. Our community-based outreach program is committed to helping individuals and families who are struggling with chemical dependency. Our staff is on-hand to “just talk” or to help connect individuals to the many treatment options right here in Greene County.

Greene County New York Addiction Prevention Coalition. CGAC is a collaborative multi-stakeholder organization, which was established over a decade ago as a response to the emerging opioid epidemic in our region. At the core of our mission is our dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion and the affect of substance use disorder on historically underrepresented populations. Our belief is that not one size fits all when addressing this serious public health issue and that all voices must be heard in order to make real permanent change.

Mental Health Assoc Greene County New York Substance Abuse Recovery. We go beyond mental health to support with your overall wellbeing. We have services to support survivors of assault, crime and abuse, substance abuse and recovery, supportive residences, respite, mentoring, after school programs, peer support, and strengthening families. We have several different peer-based programs that provide different support needs. We have Peer Centers with support groups, NYS CORE Services program, Certified Recovery Peer Specialists for substance use recovery, and Children & Family Treatment and Support Services. Whether it’s 1-on-1 support or social groups, we have programs that can help.

Alcoholics Anonymous Greene County New York District 03. Coordinates AA services within Greene County that are beyond the ability of an individual AA group to address. Performs these services through committees whose chairperson and members strive to ensure that when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, the hand of AA always will be there. Supports a 24-hour, 7 days-a-week providing help in dealing with alcohol and alcoholism and information including area meeting locations. Maintains a regularly updated list of the AA meetings scheduled in Greene County.
